The idea of orginizing conference was with us in KNTGameDec from the beginning. On the first of December, it came to be. Until the day of the conference, I was helping with organiztional tasks, bringing materials, helping with inviting guests, and communicating with the IT department in UKW. On the day I was in the role of IT lead and was responsible for menaging IT infrastructure, managing presentation of guests, and general IT assistance. Besides, I was nearly always able to help guests if I did not have any other tasks at hand.
Nearly a month before the conference, I did prep work and prep documentation for the event site. This allowed me and the team for easier problem solving and preparations of the location. Later, I was in contact with the IT department of our university to connect the WiFi for participants and presenters of workshops. Which had some issues which I cannot disclose, but were fixed and did not cause any problems during the conference. Before it, I helped with as much as I could with general organisation.

On the day of the conference, I was a little under the weather, as I was recovering from illnes that put me in bed. It started great. In the beginning, there were only a few problems as far as I can remember. Or there were, but the next thing that happen that everyone would know who was there. The test fire alarm. Some time around twelve, the test fire alarm rang through the site of the conference. Fortunately, we were prepared for it(Just in case). It killed the momentum of the conference. Momentum, fortunately, did not disappper nbut rather dispersed itself in different places. We were lucky on that. At the moment, we needed to collect everynon and keep them together at marked spots. Firstly, because of safety regulations and secondly, because to not anyone live without guests and participants, we wouldn’t have a conference. But in the end, it didn’t really matter, and most were accounted for. Unfortunately for me, my legs began to gave out some time later, but there were some simple problems left to solve. But everything after the alarm was smooth sailing compared to it. With moments of lost and found things. At the end of the day, I was exhausted, which did not allow me to get to the end. But overall, we had a successful conference, especially for the first one. After it was done, it was off to the next one. quite literary.
